Thoughts To Have About Closing The Sale Of Your House
Selling a house always seems to be about the paperwork. You will be running through the motions and feeling frustrated just as often as you feel excited, angry, or anxious. It can be hard to live with your thoughts when you sell your Canadian house because you just never seem to have the time.
Walk away from the paperwork for just a second. Walk away from the real estate agent that is constantly calling you. Walk away from all thoughts of future buyers that could destroy or remodel your home to make it unrecognizable. Truly live with your own personal thoughts for just a moment.
How Are You Coping With This Sale?
Really, how are you dealing with this? Are you okay or are you just telling yourself that you have to be strong? Let yourself live with that feeling, address it head-on. Take the time to acknowledge what you are going through. The most important person in making this sale happen is in fact you and your family. At any moment if you change your mind, you can stop the sale. It doesn’t have to happen. Only you can figure that out for yourself.
What Are You Doing Right Now?
What are you doing at this moment in time? Are you worrying that the sale will fall through? Are you worrying that your real estate agent is a total loon? Are you worried? If you are worried then you need to stop and realize that you either have a reason to be worried, or you are just worrying too much. Think about your situation as if you were a third party. Are you still worrying? Why? If not, then relax. Take the time to read a book. Change what you are doing so that you are not mentally stressed out throughout the entire process. It could take months, and that shouldn’t be a worry that is on your mind for forever. Let yourself live your life to its fullest, even through this worrisome process.
Think About the New House
It is time for you to start realizing that you are going to have a new life that you can actively mold even before you move in. Did you chose this new house because of the large backyard? Is the wildlife what attracted you? What is special about your new house? Think about ways you can actively create special memories in the new house. Maybe you want to build a new pool in the backyard. Maybe you want to take your children on nature walks through your backyard. Maybe you moved because you felt the air was better in the new house. Start focusing and shifting your thoughts to the great things about the new house. You will be incredibly thankful that you have.
Have You Talked To Your Kids Yet?
If the number one thought running through your head is how to tell your kids that you will be moving, then fix it. Tell your kids that they will be moving. Have an open conversation with them and encourage them to speak their thoughts in a respectful and calm way. Encourage them to let you know how they are feeling so that you can share these thoughts together. There is nothing worse than telling a child then are moving and then not letting them feel like they can come to you with their own worries, excitement, or thoughts. This will be good for both of you.
